In 1979, sailmaker Steve Sperry built the first-ever Sperry Tent using his fabric design skills and the materials available in his sail loft, Sperry Sails. Little did he know that this prototype would evolve into a full line of rental tents whose look and feel would create an international revolution in event tents.

For outdoor weddings, community and corporate events, and special occasions of all sizes, Sperry Tents’ elegant, handcrafted rental tents are perfect for any setting, from backyards and wineries to historic estates and beaches. Our sailcloth tents – manufactured from genuine sailcloth by New England-based sailmakers and available only from our exclusive network of providers – are in demand by the world’s foremost event planners and caterers due to their exquisite detailing, impressive silhouettes, and elegant look, inside and out.

On a beach, with panoramic ocean views. In a field, with rolling hills.

At an estate, surrounded by lush gardens.

Tented occasions are always customised, always imaginative.

Those desiring rental tents with sophisticated silhouettes and supreme elegance inside and out rely on the handcrafted sailcloth canopies of Sperry Tents.

Handcrafted by New England sailmakers, Sperry Tents are natural partners to life’s special occasions. Our sweeping sailcloth canopies are supported by wooden poles and topped by waving flags – a signature look that conveys both elegance and romance.

Our pole tents can accommodate any sized event, from an intimate elopement, executive dining to a cocktail party, special events, outdoor wedding receptions or unforgettable corporate events.

Crafted from genuine sailcloth, Sperry Tents are immediately recognisable for their graceful silhouettes, geometric reinforcement patches, solid wood support poles, nautical embellishments, and signature flags atop each peak – and are in demand by the world’s foremost event planners and caterers due to their exquisite detailing, and elegant look, inside and out.
